And I thought I’d come surprise you?
And you were surprised all right,
When I walked in on you two

Tears pouring like rain
Remember how you caught up with me?
Trying to pull me close and promising it wouldn’t happen again
Do you remember how I yelled and cursed?
Saying we were finished and I never wanted to see you
I remember that stricken look on your face
Like you didn’t believe what I was saying was true
Do you remember how in the days after
How you walked around acting like nothing was wrong
I remember thinking how stupid I’d been,
You were just waiting for someone better to come along
Do you remember how you broke my heart?
And how long it took for me to rebuild it?
I remember it took a long time to mend my broken heart
I even thought about taking you back, I’ll admit
Do you remember when you saw me again, just one year later?
And I had him with me. You really have no clue
You still thought I’d take you back after everything
And I can’t put it plainer than I am so over you
