Reality

by Reagan Lausche   Mar 27, 2005

It lurks around every corner, waiting to catch us in its deadly grasp.
When it hits us the numbing pain burns and tears, slashing our every being.

Some people try to block it out, those people live a lie.
There is no escaping; its all around us, with truth spilling from its mouth.

No reason on this earth can help explain its meaning.
Diminishing all hope, locking up every feeling.

People need to realize there is no hiding, running nor escape.
All you can do is accept.

Why pain is such a seductress, these people will never know.
It provokes us with such sinister music, coming from down below.

So many imperfections, from the outside to within.
Such a twisted world that it, unfortunately has to kill in.

Its soul drips with sorrow, drenched in a deep sea of tears.
In this world, there remains only artificial cheers.

What is this horrid monster, which kills everything in sight?
Locks up every shred of hope, with its inhuman might?

The answer has a deadly name, far from fantasy.
The answer, which you ask of me, is Reality.
