My Angel

All my life I have been looking for someone to understand
and finally see me
No matter how hard I tried
failure just wouldn't let me be

I looked for that special someone
that would free my soul and open my eyes
I looked so hard and so long
that finally I gave up all the tries

Little did I know that she was right in front
right in plain sight
All along I have been looking
now finally I can stop this fight

She was always right there in front of me
always being surpassed
To think that I had given up hope
I gave it up way to fast

Her powers were never known
because everyone underestimated her
They never gave her a chance
always leaving for someone better

But i now know that she is the
greatest thing breathing
She lights up my world
and because of that i will never be leaving

She touches me in the greatest ways
always bringing a smile to my face
Whenever I am with her life can't get any better
it feels so smooth, just like lace

I have been healed
by her ever so great powers
Now I smell the roses
and pick up the flowers

Ever since i met her
she has opened my eyes
She opened them to the world
and allowed me to see past the lies

This girl, my angel
she is my world, my everything
Because of her
I can thank that i am still breathing
