Notebook Revenge

by blackheartinlove   Mar 27, 2005

All she's known was lost,
As she sits alone,
Writes angrily in her notebook,
While on the phone.

She closes the book,
Renames the front,
Notebook: Revenge,
So obvious, not blunt.

Opens the notebook,
Nice and wide,
Observes the first clean page,
And writes "ways he died".

Pencil wares thin,
I sit on the other line,
As I tell her to slow down,
The pain will leave in time.

Revenge is sweet,
She feels it's needed,
I tell her it will be okay,
She reminds me of how her heart bleed-ed.

Suddenly the scratching stops,
She's not saying a word,
I call to her,
Nothing is heard.

I wasn't sure of what she had written,
Maybe something else she could have done,
Heart beating faster,
I yell "Hun?"

Again I don't get a response,
Until a scream filled the air,
Long and painful is what I heard,
She wouldn't do that, she wouldn't dare.

I drop the phone and find my keys,
I rush to her house with tears in my eyes,
I run to her room, find a note on her bed,
It reads "everyone dies".

Dropping to the floor,
I feel something cold,
I've landed on the body,
Of the only friend I ever told.

On the nightstand,
Far across the room,
Lies the Notebook,
Reveling her doom.
