Black Jesus

by Winston Koyo   Mar 27, 2005

If he was born Black in his era,
Bound by chains of spiritual duty to serve mankind,
Bound by his black color to suffer on behalf of sinners,
Would the crown of thorns be thicker,
Than a vultures nest

If he was born Black in his era,
Bound by chains of duty to deliver gospel,
Bound by his black color to death on behalf of sinners,
Would a Simon have helped him, Carry the lead cross

If he was born Black at his era,
Bound by chains of duty to redeem the doomed,
Bound by his black color to persecution on behalf of sinners,
Would the Other side have accepted his saving grace.
