There's So Many Fish in the Sea

They say there's so many fish in the sea

So why can't I let go of the one that I caught?

Maybe I don't want to.

He might not be the greatest looking one out there

But he is beautiful underneath all the seaweed he has accumulated over his hard life.

He doesn't understand why,

At times, neither do I,

But for some reason, he is the most precious fish I have found.

If I let him go, I would be making the biggest mistake of my life

But he doesn't seem happy here with me

He doesn't want to stay.

So I guess I will let him go.

But I will always remember him.

He was the best.

And I will always be here if he ever changes his mind.

    Is this even a poem? I couldn't really tell. It sounds like a diary entree. Your attempts at rhyming were pathetic, and even if you felt the need to rhyme your journal, why did it suddenly go away?

    Tip for you:
    1) Buy a thesaurus (no, it's not a dinosaur).
    2) Get word perfect (you could use some grammar work)

    Give me some time, get to know the real me. And don't think for one second I wasn't happy with you, I just couldn't enjoy it. Please, just hold on a little longer, this is tough for me too.
