I stand here,
With everyone by my side.
I close my eyes
And take a deep breath.
I open my eyes to see no one,
That everyone’s gone.
Left me when I needed them most.
It’s dark all around,
I’m alone, just like I’ve felt
For the longest time.
Just denying how I feel,
Not wanting it to be real.
Shakin’ my head no...
this cant be it,
this cant be the outcome of my life.
But then I hear a familiar voice.
Telling me its goin’ to be OK
To open my eyes,
open them to the truth,
to the world and everything in it.
Soon to realize I never opened my eyes,
too scared to see what’s real,
to see everyone there.
Feeling them hold me,
telling me every thing's OK.
That they are there,
and always will be.
I finally open my eyes,
to what I feared most,
to myself and everything in it.
