Untouched Spirit

by mayme   Mar 28, 2005

People praise the lord,
hands in the air,
tongues I do not know.
Shouts reach to heaven,
the holy ghost enters
people fall one by one,
in the spirit that envelops them.
Others move closer to get the blessing.
God touches them all with his spirit.
My heart is heavy, I thank God;
yet still I sit here writing this poem.

    I felt exactly like this once. I went to this church, Covenent Love, with a good friend of mine. Everyone was jumping around and praising God, and it was all teens. I sat there most of the night asking God to let me have a peice of that. I never got it that night, and I couldn't figure out why. I still can't tell you why, but I know that I have it now.
