Let it rain

by Unrequited   Mar 29, 2005

Let it rain
watch blue droplets hit the ground
and try to remember what it’s like to be free
you are golden;
your smile lights up the stormy sky
and for your love i will die
as we watch blue droplets hit the ground
let it rain, let it rain
my love remains

let it rain
watch white lightening streak below the heavens
and try to remember why you feel alone today
you are a nightmare;
your carelessness was a knife that dug into my heart
but here you are; asking that never again we part
as we watch white lightening flash below the heavens
let it rain, let it rain
and wash away our pain

let it rain
watch black clouds move across the sky
and try to remember what it’s like to be with me
you are pure;
your kindness melts my pain away
i long for your touch every second of every day
as we watch black clouds move across the sky
let it rain, let it rain
my love you have regained

rain:
the rain begins to stop
and the clouds begin to part
and now i hold you in my arms
and give to you my heart

no more rain, no more rain
our love brought out the sun
forever i’ll be with you
forever we are one
