One blissful night

by ~Darkest~Angel~   Mar 29, 2005

His lips are as red as apples and plump as peaches
His silky skin like soft sand on beaches
His eyes burn through me, he knows what I’m thinking
Eyes like the deepest ocean, in them I’m sinking.

Secrets and the promise of adventure cling to him
He speaks of such beauty, his sweet voice sings
His breath sweet strawberry wine
I wish at that moment, he’ll always be mine.

This night is so beautiful it feels like a dream
I’m so happy lying in his arms, all I can do is grin.
We are like branches of the same tree.

But our love is forbidden
It must always stay hidden.
Like the story of Romeo and Juliet.
I love him deeper than the ocean and yet,
I feel as though I am nothing to him.
Just another bird he can hear sing.

I know after this night, I’ll never see him again
He’s slowly disappearing behind me
Fading like footsteps in the rain.
