My mask

by cant sleep   Mar 29, 2005

My eyes,
So red from all the tears I’ve tasted,
Hidden with this mask that I paint on.
Everyday I hide myself,
My true self
From the world.
To make society happy,
That’s what I have to do.
So I won’t be branded weird.
So I can be accepted.
So for now,
I’ll be fake for you society.
Ill hide my eyes.
My pain.

You shouldn't have to hide yourself from the world Nancy. Let your true colors show and enjoy the ride
