*I've decided to try some free verse poetry, a little break from the norm. Tell me what you think*
It's the middle of the night.
And I can't fall asleep.
Again.
But tonight is different.
I swear I saw your name in lights.
Thinking all my wishful thoughts,
I get out of bed,
Open the curtains,
and the most amazing thing I did see.
Your dazzling name.
It's like the stars joined up
and spelled the word for me.
Like a sign.
And the dreamer I am,
is full of hope.
That maybe,
Someday
One day
You'll wake up
look at that same night sky
And instead of seeing your name.
You'll see mine.
