Why is this happening, why re you dying
I heard you last night on the phone, you were crying
Why are you leaving all of us here

I watch you as the disease takes hold of you
There is nothing that those doctors can do
Your hands they keep on twitching and shaking

You were so strong you kept our family going
But now I see your happiness, away from you is flowing
There is no longer laughter but fear in your eyes
You are trapped in this cage when all you want is to fly

And I'm scared because without you I will not cope
