Stand Up

I've been tricked too many times
Been a victim to some of the most
Vicious crimes.

But no more will I stand and take it
No more will these memories cause me not
To make it.

I'm gonna rise up and wipe away the past
Kill the paranoia before it kills me cos it comes
So fast.

I'm gonna hold my fists in front of me and fight
Anyone who tries to bring me down cos they
Have no right.

I’ve been to the bottom but I’m gonna bounce back
Cos I've found a light and NOTHING is gonna make it
Turn black.

So goodbye tears, goodbye scars, goodbye history
And goodbye questions cos sometimes it’s nice when
Life is a mystery.

I will be all smiles, and if one isn't real I shall take it away
Because I have no reason to hide, I can take whatever
Fate has to say.
