How can I believe that?

You said you'd catch me when I fall,
I remember hitting the ground,
You said being with me was music to your ears,
Again I heard no sound,
You said I was your teddy bear,
But you never held me tight,
You said you prayed for me every evening,
But you didn't even say good night,
You said I was your only love,
And that girl was just a kiss,
But how can I believe that,
After you said all of this,
You said you'd never hurt me,
But then you made me cry,
After that you broke my heart,
That's when I realised you were a lie.
