Boo

The monsters creep,
The shadows sway,
I close my eyes,
Wish myself away,
I hold my pillow,
I grip it tight,
Wonder if I can last,
Here the whole night,
I stay quiet,
But everything booms,
I can here faint noises,
From outside rooms,
I can here faint scratching,
From above my head,
I try to sink further,
Into my bed,
I hear distant cries,
And muffled screams,
I can see the outside lamppost,
Like an evil eye that gleams,
My door creaks open,
I jump out of my skin,
A silhouette stands opposite,
My fear grows within,
Now there's 3 of them,
All standing in a line,
The outside light surrounds then,
And around them it shines,
Then they come forward,
And yell out BOO!',
And as my brothers friends laugh,
He asks "Did we scare you?"
