Sitting here at this animated computer screen,
I realize the choices I've made might sound kind of mean.
But you have an untrained eye, and know me not,
your opinion is based on fiction, some fabricated plot.
I've been so many things, and to so many places
I've met so many people and seen so many faces
I reminisce and I look back and rewind
Apologies to the ones I've left behind
You're apart of my past, of my former vision
You held me down, and kept my abilities hidden
I blame nobody, I admit I've been easily swayed
But now our ties have been severed and frayed
So take it as a sign, my "friends" of a past lifestyle
Living the way I did before now seems so vile
The only way I can move forward and closer to improvement
is to keep taking these strides and making these movements
I need to be away from the people who had such an influence
