The Stranger

I saw her today
it was only for a moment
But she was here
I recognized her from before.
She was kind and loving,
had many friends.
there was a spring to her step
a sparkle in her eyes.
But traveling lifes beaten path
has turned her weary,
People broke her heart
so she turned her back on herself.
She lost all her desires
turned away her family
Walking amongst the living
searching for her soul.
I know I saw her
out of the corner of my eye
I caught her reflection
looking at me through the mirror.
