Sticks and stones

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me.
a phrase so wrong so hard to believe a phrase so hard to see.
words hurt less when we were young and now they fill us with pain.
they make us doubt ourselves make us feel ashamed.
a word can mean a thousand things, they hurt sometimes its true.
if those you hurt did suicide, what would you do?
maybe if you thought it out you'd learn and you might see.
that sticks and stones may break my bones but surly they will heal
but words will always hurt me and worsen the way i feel.
