The Letter

Dear Friend,

you came into the classroom today, said your boyfriend told you it was over

i wiped the tears from her cheek and let you lean on my shoulder

i told you "any boy to leaves a girl like you is a darn fool"

so you gave a small laugh but said "i feel like a tool"

i wiped tear after tear, as they streaked down your face

it was getting harder and harder to keep up the pace

i held you in my arms and felt a knife stab me for ever tear streak

i feel the tears in my eye, and my legs now become weak

for every tear you shed, my heart will drop a drip of blood

i know how you feel, rejected, in pain, fell in the mud

you will be fine my friend my shoulder is full of your tears

i want to help you and make you feel better, i hope you understand this very clear

i hurt every time you looked in my eye

i know when i get home i will also cry

because i want to take away your pain, and make you smile

i hold you in my arms but in between us is a mile

i am sorry i am not good enough of a friend to make you feel better

to my dear friend i write you this letter
