Victory unintentional

by TrUtH hUrTs   Apr 1, 2005

They prostituted their body and mind
Never knowing what they left behind
Men of valour, men of fame,
They won it all, got ahead in the game...
only to realize what they have found,
Is not what they were looking for.

i watch them struggle across the twig light gray
Their naked bodies bleeding of defeat unknown
And victory, unintentional

Are they real men of flesh and blood?
Or are they as they seem..
Mere illusions conjured by the dust
What hope suffuses their ragged breath?
As they take, each faltering step
What madness lurks beneath their eyes?
In their endless search for paradise

I do not understand them, I have no desire to
They try to understand me, but they aren’t supposed to
So we smile foolishly, as
In the same world we cannot exist.
But we continue. Living each day to the next
We don’t know where we are going
We don’t know how it will end…

I watch them struggle across the twig light gray
Their naked bodies bleeding of defeat unknown
And victory, unintentional

A lot of people seem to not understand this poem, but i understood it in my own way. I really like the way this poem is made for anyone to read and people can understand it in their own way, that's great. Keep writing, take care.

Intriuging, it seems like you keep mixing styles, but it's hardly even noticeable, it flows in between them....I don't know how to describe it.
