To be or Not to be

Doubtfully the heart flutters at your site
But how can it be, for it is not right
The friendship we share has grown into something more
But it’s not you alone that I adore

We have both obstacles in our way
Which are stumbling blocks
Meant to keep us apart day by day
I am confused; I don’t know what to do
Is it really you? Or who?
I don’t have a clue.

I know what I’m feeling is wrong
But yet the emotions that run through me
Are so very strong
Temptations of my thoughts are so great
But I’m afraid, it’s to risky
There are other hearts at steak

I cannot do it,
I will bear the pain of not having you
Just for the sake of the others
Who deserve to be happy too
Maybe someday we will both be free
And finally discover and see
If, it was meant, to be, or not to be.
