Variety Eyes

by Jacklyn   Apr 1, 2005

One to see the dark,
One to see the light,
One to see the fall,
One to see the jump,

One to notice her,
One to notice me,
One to see the rich,
One to see the poor,

One open wide,
One almost closed,
One so oblivious,
One searching for detail,

Some to seek the cold,
Some to see the old,
One to God’s belief,
One for scientific proof,

Another’s view for love,
Love to fill their heart,
Another searching for help,
To fix a broken soul,

One left in the dark,
As another squints their eyes,
One among the shadows,
One among the lights,

How life is seen so differently,
Through the many eyes,
Who see the same so different,
It’s a variety of eyes, of ways to live our life.
