The Great Friend

by Ferris   Apr 2, 2005

You were one of my very close friends.
We grew apart... we never made amends.
We hated each other, snide comments we threw.
I just just can't believe the last thing I said to you.
Then came that night, I was on the computer.
Thinking about a guy who couldn't be cuter.
My mom came in with a stern look on her face.
I turned around slowly, my mind in a race.
She talked about a girl, the girl, who I hated.
She had died in the hospital, after our friendship had faded.
She died of Asthma, and I wish I had said,
"When you were, well, you were a great friend."
Now you're gone.
