You Are Gone

by Rachel   Aug 20, 2003

You Are Gone

You are gone
It’s hard to believe
No one lives forever,
But I didn’t think so soon you would take your leave

Your death will cause many tears
So many happy memories
That I have gathered throughout the years
I remember walking along the beach finding the sea anenemies

I remember walking into your house late at night
Seeing your face always happy,
Your smile so bright
To see you we could never be unhappy

I remember when I was young,
Waking to the smell of bacon and pancakes
Out of bed and to the kitchen I flung
Everyone sitting around the table waiting to partake

You have always been there,
No matter what was going on
Its weird to think, when I got to your house you wont be there
Because from this world you have been withdrawn

You are gone forever
And that’s how long I will miss you
I will forget you never
I love you I do

Forever in my heart
That’s when you will remain
From my mind you will never part
Also in my heart, there will always be pain

Dedicated in loving memory to my Grandfather Jerry Kraft, passed away 2:23 pm August 16th 2003
