Dear Tiffany...

by Ashley   Apr 2, 2005

Dear little tiffany; once big sister,

I would like you to know that I will always love you,
No matter what.
I remember when you got rid of your first baby,
I bet you regret it now.
You got an abortion,
You killed your baby.
You taught me how to play basketball with Neftali,
I will always remember that.
You got pregnant again,
A little while ago.
You made it to about five months,
But then something went wrong.
You delivered your baby,
A little too early.
You baby didn’t make it,
And you died on the inside with her.
You ran as far as you could as fast as you could,
But who could blame you?
You lost your baby,
You lost yourself.
I don’t think you have noticed it yet,
But I lost you too.
You were my best friend,
But you ran away,
From life itself,
And me too.
You didn’t say goodbye,
You made me cry.
You left without saying a word,
I didn’t even know you left until my mom told me so.
A few months ago you came home,
I told you that I wanted you to say goodbye this time;
You said okay.
A few days later you left,
Do you know how bad that hurt?

So I haven’t seen or heard from you since,
I want to update you,
On how my life’s been.
I’ve lost a few friends,
A few people have turned since then.
I just wanted to ask you to stop running;
Stop running from life.
Just let it catch you,
Let the tears fall.
You’re not the only one who’s hurting,
I’m hurting too,
I’ve been hurting since you left me,
Because I loved you.
I looked up to you, Tiff.
You were my best friend,
My neighbor,
My big sister,
My role model.
When I hugged you the day you came home,
I knew you would always be my best friend,
My sister;
I will always love you.
Please stop running from all the pain,
Please come home,
Please be my friend again.

Love always, Ashley. “When you only see one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.” Let him carry you.
