His Story

by Aidyn   Apr 3, 2005

In grade five there was Serenity
He liked her; she liked him,
But then in came Red Head
He left Serenity on a whim.

Now, there was this Red Head,
Serenity was gone, it's true;
But it wasn't long before
He forgot Redhead, too.

So there he was with Blondie,
Don't worry; he paid for past mistakes,
Cause Blondie wouldn't last long.
A fool of him she would make.

Yes, Blondie liked him for a while,
But he soon became a toy.
Between her and a secret love,
He became a messenger-boy.

In grade eight came another.
Ms. Muffet, how bout that?
He asked and she accepted.
He took her to the Grad.

Then he asked Ms. Muffet another:
Could they maybe get coffee, someday?
But when the spider asked that question,
He frightened Ms. Muffet away.

Next, he was in grade nine.
Elle was in grade ten.
He made the effort, asked the question.
She never spoke to him again.

Jessica came the next year.
She tried to ask him out,
But his love was for this "Other".
That, he couldn't doubt.

Jessica was heartbroken.
For that, he did feel bad.
He didn't want to hurt her.
Didn't want her to be sad.

Anyways, about this "Other";
He would have asked her on a date,
But he was beaten to it.
He missed her; he was too late.

Love is so ironic.
It hits you when you're down,
It kicks you in the stomach,
Rubs your face into the ground.

But it doesn't mean it's hopeless.
Sure, it's so evil it's a sin,
But sometimes it is merciful.
So keep going; don't give in.

Sorry about the horrendously cheesy names...couldn't think of anything better...
