My Lullaby

by *theloved1*   Apr 3, 2005

If I could drain
the pain like blood
and watch it trickle
and dribble and pour
outta this world
I float
I linger
but still so so lonely
everythings so blurry
and stifling and big
like open water
so I sing
just for me
and the red river
I sing of longing
of everknown
and long lost memories
of a smile and a dance
of a touch and of red
there is no beginning
and no end
just song
this is my last lullaby
my lullaby
if I could drain
the pain like blood
I would

I really love this poem. It's beautiful-it's so deep and stirring. It reminds me of the feeling I have after I read a really good book. Great job-this is awesome writing.
