As I sit here
I begin to wonder why...

Why do I want you to be the one
to catch me if I fall?
Why do I get so excited
every time you call?

Why do I think about you
all of the time?
Why am I sitting here,
making you this rhyme?

Why does my day get better
as soon as your in my sight?
Why do I dream about you
every single night?

Why do I miss you even more
whenever I hear that song?
Why do I want to be in your arms all night long?

Why do the butterflies
not want to go away?
Why do I smile
at everything you say?

Why would I do anything
to be with you forever?
Why do I shrug at the people against you
and just say whatever?

Why does it seem whenever I'm with you
everyone else just disappears?
Why do you seem to get rid of
all of my fears?

Why does something trigger
that makes my heart take total control?
Why do you make me feel
that I’m complete and whole?

Why do I think that
your my reason to live?
Why am I willing to
give you all that I have to give?

Why is there a certain sparkle in your eyes
that only I can see?
Why do I want you
to be meant only for me?

Why do your hugs make me
all warm and cosy inside?
Why do you fill me with a sense
of happiness and pride?

Why do I know you wont care
if I show up in jeans and a t-shirt?
Why do I trust you enough
to know I wont get hurt?

After thinking and thinking
these questions through,
I came up with the perfect answer-
The answer is because I LOVE YOU!
