Bonnies poem

Bonnie’s Poem

Feeling emotionally guilty and tense,
Forgetting who he is, loosing his sense.

Under the warrior he’s drowning in tears,
Gunfire and screaming is all that he hears.

There altogether yet alone,
Women and children crying at home,

Shaken by war, suffering in mud,
Filthy with tears and his best friend’s blood,

Shivering all over waiting to die,
His body is shocked but men don’t cry.

Stunned but trembling he’s missing his wife,
As he grasps his gun and hopes for dear life
