Cry of war

Cry of war

The cry of war rings in my ears
I can’t see anything through blood and tears

I miss my family, I miss my wife.
This bloody war has ruined my life.

I am shocked and shuddering as I walk along
Then out rings one shot, loud and long.

My vision is blurry I can’t even see
Is this how my life was really ment to be?

Dying alone, in war of all places
I don’t want to die here, among the blood stained faces

Behind my eyelids I see something bright,
Then a soft voice draws me towards the light

I miss my family, I miss my wife
This bloody war has taken my life.
