The opening day...

by Judy   Aug 21, 2003

Can you see without eyes,
What do you see when you look at me,
What do you see in me,
You think,
Then you can not bare to look,
You sit next to me,
I say hello,
You reply so uneasy,
At first a rejection,
Then a reaction,
One so unlike you,
You can't stop but wonder what it's like to be me,
What I deal with,
You just can't stand it,
I'll be there for you I say,
Will you be there for me on the opening day,
When high school comes and takes us away,
You start to avoid me once as before,
I slowly fade away,
Happy with your life till you have no one to talk to,
Someone who could listen,
Someone who would care,
Then you remember her,
That girl,
So gloomy so depressed,
But soon you find out she's already dead,
The cause unknown some say she died of loneliness and a broken heart,
If only the bond held on for awhile longer,
If the flame was just a mer faint,
You'd know,
You Can't help but think of what she went through,
You were her only friend and left her all alone,
And now she's gone,
The voices in your head,
Memories you shared,
All gone to waste because of that day,
The opening day high school had came!
