The American Dream

by S a m i e   Apr 3, 2005

Little girl in black and pink,
Twirling near the kitchen sink,
Dreams of leaping on the stage,
Slowly blossoms into range.

As time gracefully lapses by,
Determination floods her eye,
Doubts of triumph fills the air,
But oh the joy of getting there.

Sights of big nights, bright lights, and dance tights,
Requires strong might and tough fights,
So is this right?

Judgement time is now at hand,
Will I fall or will I stand?
Can I keep this dream alive,
Or will it dwindle far behind?
