July 31st

by Patrick Mcdaniel   Apr 4, 2005

The day would come,
I always knew.
But would we part?
Would I really lose you?
I woke up that morning,
Not knowing what was real.
And the first thing was pain,
That day I learned to feel.
And what I loved and learned to live with,
That day was ripped away.
And I'd kill the person,
That took her away.
Because when I felt her in my arms,
For the very last time,
I didn't know if I could live anymore,
Without that girl by my side.
And I knew, that last touch,
Hurt the worst,
That day,
On july thirty-first.
