My final letter

I am alive
and soon I will be free
and I will be smiling
when you next see me

I won't shed a tear
and neither will you
I won't tell a sole
what you and I got up to

I don't want people
telling me to be brave
when they don't know
what I've had to face

The bad times are over now
so let's forget about them
time to be happy
and enjoy life without me

I was a bird
caged under the stars
unable to fly
I did nothing but cry

They locked me a prison
and threw away the key
and didn't allow me
ever to be free

I stayed there alone
caged under the stars
while every person around me
just pointed and laughed

But deep down inside
little did they know
I was hurting badly
and was ready to blow

I would shout
and I would scream
but everyone just seamed
to walk straight past me

They ignored my tears
and ignored my pain
sometimes I though
I was going insane

But thats all over now
as you can see
I took my own life
so that i could be free

Under the stars
and away with the clouds I go
I am a free spirit now
and I am going with the flow

Whenever the sun
shines down through the trees
the angels are watching over you
so be pleased

When that special sunray
touches your heart
this one is me
saying we're never apart

So no more tears
I've found my peace
from this cruel world
I've been released

So next time you see me
whenever that will be
I will be smiling
because finally...............I'm free!
