Something Like Love

by Samantha   Apr 4, 2005

You say I'm beautiful - I always disagree
It's not that I'm modest - Beauty's just not something I see
When I look in the mirror - I'm too entranced
By the person behind me - On my shoulders your hands
That trail down my sides - Hold me in your arms
Keep me always - Safe from harm

Time is such a burden - There's never enough
Seems time flies when you're flying - There aren't any clocks above
In the sky - Where I always seem to be
With you - I seem to have forgotten gravity
All the laws written before - Have given way to you
Conquering my mind's judgement - There's nothing I can do.

This has to be one of my favorite love poems. It is subtle, but so very beautiful. Like your on cloud 9 and there is no turning back. I loved it. Keep this up.
