Miss the Happy

by eternal rest   Apr 4, 2005

Do you remember those days
When we would laugh and smile
And were as happy as could be?

The memories of those days
Are fading away.
The happiness we used to know
Is disappearing into the darkness.

Once crystal clear laughs,
Music to my ears,
Dissolves into the solitary sobs.

Smiles are now frowns.
Light hearted humor,
Now heavy burdened sorrow.

What happened to us all
To force us into this morose existence?
Happiness is deficient
Smiles mean nothing.

All we can do,
Is miss the happy.
