What do you do if you are slowly crawling into a corner?
Where it gets darker and darker each minute
When the only light you have is the trust in yourself
When that candle burns out and all that you have are the whites of your eyes
God will always be there, but you feel so alone
What do you do when no one can help you?
The only person that can help you, is your untrustworthy self
How does it feel not to be able to trust anyone?
How does it feel when you look in the mirror and all you see is a failure?
When you break the mirror with rage
And look down to see your face in shatters pieces
What do you do when you are tempted to pick up a piece and watch the blood drip down the drain?
Watch your very life slip away
What do you do when you are watching your hands take away your nothing life….
And you smile
How do you feel when you are watching your funeral and you see all the people you didn’t trust
Cry over your open casket that your body lies in
And you realize that if you would have trusted yourself to trust these people,
You could have crawled out of that corner,
Looked in the mirror
And smiled at the thought of not being tempted to watch your life slip away through your very fingers
