Reality

by Nicola   Apr 5, 2005

Words slice through me like a sword

cutting to the bone pain anger confusion

set out on your own cutting all ties leaving

your life behind before you go out of your

mind no one to lead no one to follow dusty

memories stir against the darkening sky

my life liquefies like meringue on a pie

stomp on their lives tear them apart scream

out their faults don't cry don't show weakness

laugh like your happy and i being imperfect

my flaws they follow me no escape does it

hurt me more or less to endure this endless

heartbreak i've learned a lesson a life

long lesson that stripes and polka-dots

don't belong together but the gentle blow of

a breeze and the glow of your eyes only

make me realize that its just a dream not

reality
