My Princess

by SammiBABY   Apr 5, 2005

Once upon a time a little girl,
wished for her Prince Charming,
Someone to dry up her tears
And to prevent her from harming.

She cried upon her pillow,
Wishing someone would care,
That she’d wake to beautiful days
and see a handsome man there.

She choked upon the stillness,
Hoping for just one thing,
She wanted brighter days,
to blissfully dance and sing.

She knew he would come soon,
She waited night and day,
for him to rescue her from despair
and take her pain away.

Many came to this beautiful child,
Baring expensive gifts,
They brought her joy, it didn’t last,
Her life filled with falls and lifts.

They always left her in the dark,
When she needed colour in her life,
Instead of taking her to happy times,
They just left her with a knife.

But then I saw this pretty girl,
I spotted her from afar,
She caught me eyes with her smile,
She glistened like a star.

I fell for her so quickly,
But not just with the smile on her face,
I loved her intelligence and kindness,
Her warm and gentle grace.

I know I’m no Prince Charming,
I’m not like him in anyway,
But I am prepared to love you,
for every single day.

I don’t bring you a fortune,
No silver, gold or above,
I bring all that I can offer;
Devotion, hope and love.

So please be my princess,
I’ll treat you like royalty,
I’m sure I’m not prince charming,
but I know we’re meant to be.

Love ya!!!! XXX always Sammi
