You tell me you love me
but i'am not sure its true
I want so much to make this work
but i hate what you put me through
I make time for us to be together
but it seems you want to be apart
and as the days go by
we slip father and father apart
When i go to sleep at night i hear whispered thoughts of your alone.
But i don't want to believe
what i already know
You leave me everytime
with tears streaming down my cheeks.
I cry out for you
but all i get is an empty space
My heart can't take the beating
and my arm can't take the bleeding
so i guess this is goodbye.
So when you go to bed tonight
and your thoughts wonder back to me
Just remember your the reason i had to leave.
