Still True

I'm sorry about last night
I don’t think I would of made it through
The tears I would have for sure had to fight.
They would have fallen
Even if I tried with all my might

I would not have been able to look at you
My eyes would not have been true
They would have been lying
If I sat that there and said I am not still in love with you
Everything I would say and do
Would just be to have those few minutes with you

The smile I would hide behind
Would all be a lie
To make you think that I was just fine
You would have been able to tell
I still want your heart to be mine

Just so you know
Last night I wanted to be with you
Even though its not the same way you do
So when you call tonight and ask me leave with you
Remember my heart to you is still so true
Whatever it takes to be with you ill do.

    i want to be able to go with my ex-bf and just leave i broke up with him because i went to a different school but we both still care about each other so much and i wish so much to be with him...and you captured it...its a lovely poem...keep it up..5/5
