Second father failed

This is to my stepdad, the man who left our family and divorced my mom last week

I'm not one to blame
Nor shall I point fingers
But how do I move on-
when this pain just lingers?

you are the second man
who is a failing father
but it's nothing I don't know
I'll remain a lonely daughter

You're the second man
to fail and break my mother
it seems everything was a lie
did you really love her?

I was stupid to assume
that you could really stay
my father couldn't do it
what makes you better, anyway?

I'm surprised I even thought
Or that I really believed
There would be a father
who would take care of me

But it doesn't matter
2 years and I am on my own
I guess I will be fatherless
even when I'm grown

    powerful poem.... i know how it is living with out a dad.... my dad passed away few years ago... and it drove me insane... since im the only child... but i told my self, no matter how hard it is, i know i'll live... =) and i know u'll live and grow up perfectly... =)

    Oh my gosh that is sad! Well so many people have to deal with this same issue. I did....and it sucked....you get over it...Really...Very nice write....Hope everything works out for the best... Take Care

    i no wat its like not 2 have a father...its hard but when its been like it for so long u get use 2 it..but it hurts 2 think that u can neva b 'daddys lil gurl' dnt worry hun..keep strong
