Stranded heart

We pushed past a lot of faces
Into the car to better places
You one step in front of me
The rain pouring, hard to see

Our faces drenched in silvery tears
From heaven they've poured years
Before we leave you look at me
I look back, knowing it's meant to be

We kiss sweet and tenderly
From obligation I want to flee
I buckle up and we drive away
No words would you hear us say

Lights turn off and we make our goodbyes
My parents are up and not surprised
I don't want to leave your side
Without you I surely would've died

You drove off in the rain
That washed away our pain
I got in the house and call you
You're not answering, what to do?

Two hours, three hours, four...
I need to know, i can't take it any more
Where are you? Are you okay?
What were the last words i had to say?

Morning comes and I'm waking up
Calling your phone to see what's up
You don't answer so I'm kinda scared
All the lost, the memories we shared

My phone rings not far from here
From heaven here comes another tear
But from my eye it starts to shed
My hunger for your love won't be fed

So young and innocent
You my love I won't forget
Now I'm just a stranded heart
Dropped down to the bottom of the chart

The rain pours onto my face
Take me God, to a better place

We pushed past a lot of faces (This paragraph is talking about two people leaving everyone
Into the car to better places rain to go to better places b/c they want to be w/ each other
You one step in front of me and no one else and it's raining outside b/c this is what it's
The rain pouring, hard to see typically like when they're together.)

Our faces drenched in silvery tears ( They're crying b/c they've liked each other so long and
From heaven they've poured years and now they're finally together so it's kinda like a
Before we leave you look at me blessing from heaven and there's no turning back now)
I look back, knowing it's meant to be

We kiss sweet and tenderly ( This basically is saying how much they love each other, but
From obligation I want to flee their heads are saying something different then their minds)
I buckle up and we drive away
No words would you hear us say

Lights turn off and we make our goodbyes (He's dropping her off after they've been togethr
My parents are up and not surprised for the night and she thinks w/o him she thinks she'll
I don't want to leave your side die b/c she loves him so much and this is also showing
Without you I surely would've died how they're not sure if they should be together b/c they're so inseperable and it's hard to be apart.)

You drove off in the rain (basically the rain was when they were together and together there
That washed away our pain was no pain)
I got in the house and call you
You're not answering, what to do?

Two hours, three hours, four... (self-explanatory... he's not answering and she's wondering if
I need to know, i can't take it any more he's okay.. also questioning what she said last in
Where are you? Are you okay? case he died)
What were the last words i had to say?

Morning comes and I'm waking up
Calling your phone to see what's up
You don't answer so I'm kinda scared
All is lost, the memories we shared

My phone rings not far from here
From heaven here comes another tear (It's a diff. kind of tear b/c now she's crying b/c she
But from my eye it starts to shed is the one crying it b/c she just lost her love and knows it
My hunger for your love won't be fed by the phone call

So young and innocent (Lost her love now she's stranded because his love guided her)
You my love I won't forget
Now I'm just a stranded heart
Dropped down to the bottom of the chart

The rain pours onto my face (She wants to be with him, have god take her to heaven to be
Take me God, to a better place with him)
