Even though we are over, this I must say.
It's something I must say before the end of this day.
I still care about you, even though we no longer are friends.
And still hold out hope we will someday mend.
Because I hope this isn't the end.
Something else I must say before I am through.

I would die for you, take a bullet, and that's a fact.
Even though our friendship is no longer intact.
One more thing I need to say before I leave.
I hope my absence has given you some kind of reprieve.
I am sorry I caused you all kinds of strife.
I never meant to be such a burden on your life.
So, now that our friendship is through,
You are free to be who you are
And I am too.
