I love you daddy, I know I made you cry
But I want to ask you something why
Why did I feel your fist hit so very painful
As I lay on the floor with the bruise on me so shameful

Why do you do it daddy, did I hurt you so bad
Why do you hit me if I make you mad
I know I'm no longer the perfect child to you
But I don't really know what else to do
