Untitled poems
are surely some of the best
because we know they're extraordinary
so well written, so complex

some sadder than depression
some happier than the heart's content
some about our disputes
others about agreement and consent

there is nothing more rewarding
than satisfaction with ourselves
due to the thousands of letters
and poems on our shelves

And sometimes in our writing,
though as rare as it may be,
we create and balance a work
of brilliant clarity

when we cross such poems,
we find ourselves unable to compete
with the neutral ability to leave
these proud titles incomplete
