Sorry is all i ask, one single word and my heart could begin to mend
but you don't speak

you glance away, your emotions giving way to thoughts your mind won't say
and i see us tumbling to the ground

i reach out, needing to touch you
to feel the softness of your hand in mine
but you slip away just as my fingers brush yours

the sound of a door closing echoes through this house
silencing my cries, blinding my tears
as your goodbye washes over my breaking heart
