Simply Pain

by The Plain Truth   Apr 7, 2005

Dancing in circles is pain in my head,
It’s motions are blurring my thoughts,
I’m giving in, I’m far too weak,
To continue with what I’ve fought.

I kneel before Him with all that I am,
And grovel for the slightest hope,
But still, I seem to be suffering,
Through all that I’m forced to cope.

Each day plastered with a facsimile smile,
While inside and I long to break down and cry,
And with every whisper and every glance,
I want so badly to curl up and die.

But once again, I’ll push on through,
Eventually I’ll believe my own lies,
Knowing full well the tears won’t stop,
And the scars are getting harder to disguise.

“Time heals all wounds.”, I lie once more,
And collapse beneath conflicting strife,
Hoping and praying to our dearly beloved,
That soon I’ll join them in the after-life.
