The Day I would Die

by Amit   Apr 7, 2005

If I would have to die tomorrow,
I would think of our past life.
I would leave with a feeling of
proud, that I had you as my wife.

I'd be filled with sweet memories,
happy, that you were my soulmate,
and my unconditional love for you
showed me a way to heaven's gate.

I loved you with all my heart &,
spent my times in joys & laughs,
You were by my side like a shadow,
you were definitely my other half.

I lived a life devoted to you hny,
I never left you standing alone.
Words were heard without saying,
you will recall when I'd be gone.

I spent a lot of time with you,
granted your wishes with delight.
With my love, I eased your pains,
I was with you, everyday & night.

I loved you for your inner self,
and not for the hunger of lust.
I felt something like true love
&our relation was built on trust.

If I would have to die tomorrow,
I'd like to be a star in the sky.
So that you'll see me every night,
until the very day you will die...

That is a very passionate poem. If not empowered by love to have the desire to write that, then I don't know where the inspiration flows. Thanks for voting and commenting on my poem.

Wow, beautifully written. I feel the love you have for her when I read that. You are a very lucky man to have someone to share yourself with like that (not like you needed me to tell you). Cherish every moment you have with her.

    Take Care,

    Jesse
